The Lighthouse Heater takes its form from the top of a classic lighthouse, and the light from the little tealight in the heater casts its light over the table, at the same time as keeping the tea warm for instance. At the same time, the Lighthouse Heater represents stringent and functional Scandinavian design ethics, with pure lines in porcelain, steel and glass.
The designer Christian Bjørn sees Lighthouse as a typically Scandinavian series. With its long stretches of coastline, Scandinavia has a rich supply of lighthouses to show the way in the night. The Lighthouse theme evokes pictures of people on voyages and stories of far-flung places.
